Hello! Thank you for your question. I am a licensed computer professional with over ten years of experience, and I will be assisting you today.

I'm sorry about the issue. What's the exact model number of your Toshiba laptop, such as C650-EZ1524 or L355D-S7901, etc.? Please check at the back / bottom of the laptop.

If possible, can you please let me know what you have tried, so I won't repeat?

Please reply at the box below. Thank you

Thank you. Was the touchpad working previously with windows 7 on this laptop?

Have you tried the Fn function key method yet?

Please let me know. Thank you

Thank you. Just to make sure, did you press the key F5 on the keyboard in order to enable / disable the touchpad? If needed, press at the same time the two keys Fn and F5 to enable / disable touchpad.

If that does not work, please click Start->All programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore and restore the computer to any date before this issue has occurred, then check.
; if needed, try F5 key again (and/or Fn + F5 keys.)

Please let me know. Thank you
