Hi, and thank you for asking your question.

First off, please press the Windows key + R to bring up the RUN box, then type in msconfig and press ENTER.

In the System Configuration window, click on the 'Boot' tab - is the 'Safe Boot' option checked or unchecked?

Keep me posted.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

safe boot is unchecked

Hmm. Are you currently replying to me from the affected system itself? If so, would you like me to set up a remote session (NO extra charge), which will allow me to connect directly to your screen and assist you quickly with this issue?

Keep me posted.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

no I am replying on my lap top, a different computer. I can log on on my Packard bell if it is easier

Expert:  Barun replied 2 years ago.
No problem. Let's get started with the remote session now, so that I can check the issue directly for you. Please open up the following link on the affected computer:
http://tinyurl.com/packardbellJA

Join the session, then an 'Elsinore Screen Connect' file will be downloaded.

OPEN/RUN the file from your downloads - and I'll be connected.

PS - If we are not connected in five minutes, please reply back to me below.

i do not get a run/open screen just a save screen

Expert:  Barun replied 2 years ago.
No issues, just save the file to your system first, then open it up from your Downloads window.

The filename is Elsinore.Screen.Connect.exe.

If you are unable to find the file, just let me know.

Thanks!

I seem to have lost everything now on PC wht do you want me to do wait or restart computor

Expert:  Barun replied 2 years ago.
Hi, I was not able to view your screen anymore, for some reason - and so had to disconnect from the remote session.

Please press and HOLD down the Power button for atleast 10 seconds (until it switches off with a tick sound), then release and press the Power button one more time.

Does it turn back on all right now?

Keep me posted.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

HI back on but just as it was. Is it time to call it a night and try again tomorrow?

Expert:  Barun replied 2 years ago.
Okay. Let's do a System Refresh now, which will refresh the PC without deleting any of your personal files or changing your settings. Please do this:

Point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, click Settings, and then click Change PC settings.

Click Update and recovery, and then tap or click Recovery.

Under Refresh your PC without affecting your files, click Get started.

After the process is completed, check if this resolves the display issue all right. If you continue to face issues, just reply back to me below.

Thank you.

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

where exactly is that? I have found settings but where is update and recovery

Expert:  Barun replied 2 years ago.
This process will restore your system files and settings, but will keep your personal data, i.e. documents, pictures, etc. intact. Let's do another remote session now; please open up the following link and run the remote tool the same way as before:

Thank you.

Hi Rath, As you know my problem is not yet resolved but I am going to have to leave it for now as I have other committments. Have you had any fresh ideas?

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

I have fiddled with the screen resolution myself and improved the situation but am not convinced it is solution to my problem. If you had any thoughts please e-mail me. Bill

Expert:  Barun replied 2 years ago.
Please accept my apologies for the delay in getting back to you - I just got on for the day.

Do leave me a message when you are available next, and we will take this issue further.

Thanks!
