Resolved Question:

I have Toshiba laptop Windows 7. I'm viewing website echo.msk.ru Their "setevisor" videos arenot running. Live broadcast through setevisor and all other (non-setevisor) videos are OK. I vent to AFP advanced settings and deleted "delete all" and "delete data". Afp still not playing videos on "setevisor". Can you help me? Thanks.

It looks this is a browser compatibility bug. Serevisor runs well under Google Chrome and not under Firefox or IE. Which browser are you using?

Hi Jess. To help you with languages - when you type 'echo.msk.ru' in the search window, many entries in Russian appear. The top entry reads 'Эхо Москвы Translate this page'. Click 'Translate this page' and look at the top of the screen. There on the horizontal rule with black background you'll see white signs: the 3rd from the left 'Setevisor' and the 4th from the left 'Interviews'. Corresponding Russian words are 'Сетевизор' and 'Интервью'. Setevisor is live broadcast and Interviews are videos and audios. Now go back again and click 'Эхо Москвы'. On the black rule click 'Сетевизор'. A screen appears and there will be sound and picture. This is live broadcast and it is OK. If you scroll down this page there will be small pictures of previous broadcasts (Interviews). If you click any of them the black screen with the blue signs of Web and Play appear. If I click Play (or anywhere at the screen) the screen goes black. It happens in Firefox, Chrome and IE. I've tied to delete data in Global settings and Local storage - result negative. The same happens in Interviews. Can you help? Many thanks

Hi Jess. Yes, the link you've provided is one of those I have problem with. When I try to play this or any other such interviews in Mozilla, Google Chrome or IE, the screen turns black. Deleting data in 'global settings' and/or 'local storage' doesn't help. I need those videos for my work so it is really a nuisance.

Hi,

Thank you for writing back with that confirmation. Actually, using my several web browsers here, Internet Explorer, FIrefox, Chrome, Safari and Opera, I can't view those interviews as well. I can only view the live stream. It is exactly the same problem with the one you described.

However, after several hours of research to help you with this problem, I found out that you need to install a software that is an add-on of setevisor to allow your browsers to play archive or saved setevisor videos like those interviews. The name of the software is called TVeam.

Here is the link:

In that page, download TVeam based on your Operating System, in my case, I downloaded the one for Windows.

After downloading, please run the file to install the TVeam, the Setevisor support software. After installing, please reload or refresh the page with the video and this time, it shall play.

So, please remember to RUN the TVeam software and it shall just run in the background if you want to play those Setevisor's interview videos.

Hi Jess. I've followed your directions, downloaded software TVeam and run the file. The TVeam icon displayed in my system tray. I've restarted my laptop. Thank you for your patience. I was able to resolve the issue of your setevisor videos using remote support. However, the videos only work well and stable with Chrome. This can be an issue with the setevisor videos from the website's end, not from your Firefox.

I suggest that you continue to monitor the site's setevisor videos and try viewing them with Firefox from time to time since the websites could be fixing this bug from their end.

Alla, I disconnected the remote session already. The new account is all new, so your emails will not be loading there unless you use the browser.

Here is what you can do to test.

Restart and sign in to the new account. Once there, use Chrome or Firefox and then test the interview videos. You can do your usual search of the website to go to the site, sample link below:

Just test your browsers in the new account if the videos are working fine.

Are you saying that even in the new user account, when you were there in the new account, you tested Chrome and the videos still did not load?

If that is the case, then your computer is really having something that is blocking the setevisor videos.

The next procedures that we can try is to disable startup programs and service in the ORIGINAL account (I can delete the new account created) and test Chrome there.

Hi Alla,

Thank you for writing back. As to how to refresh a web page in Firefox, you just need to be on that page and then press the F5 key. Another way is to click on the small circling arrow at the end of the URL bar to reload the current page that you want to be refreshed.
