I have a kindle paperwhite, bought for me end Aug. Its been very, very good, but aftercharging it 2 days ago (not used until today) I cant bring up the the very front screen to put in my pass number. Please can you help. Incidentally, its still showing green light, so it is still charged. Thank you.

Please follow these steps on your Kindle Paperwhite>
  1. Press and hold the Power button for a full 20 seconds.

    After the first 6 to 8 seconds, the screen will go blank, which is normal. Continue holding the Power button.

  2. After the 20 seconds, release the Power button.

    The charge indicator light will turn on after a few seconds.
