I have a HP Pavilion Slimline S5206uk. I have been on holiday

I have a HP Pavilion Slimline S5206uk. I have been on holiday for2 weeks. When I switched it on I got a "Power Saver On" message. I can't find my HP disc. How can I get switched on please

I'm sorry about the issue. Can you disconnect the the power cord from the HP Pavilion Slimline S5206uk computer, then disconnect the monitor cable from both the computer and the monitor, then re-connect the ,monitor cable securely (pushed all the way in both the monitor and computer), then re-connect the power cable, then turn the computer on and check.

I have done that a few times with no success.

Do you hear any normal noise from the computer?

No

The fans are going.

When you turn on the computer, it just shows "Power Saver On", nothing else? It does not show the HP logo, etc.?

No logo. I have now put it on a different moiter and it says no signal.

Since you've tried with both monitors (the monitors should work when connecting to another desktop or laptop), then the issue is with the S5206uk desktop

Sorry, it's a hardware issue, not a software issue, so having a windows / restore disk won't work.

Ok then. No I have had it about 3yrs.

Sorry about the hardware issue. Do you need any data/file from the computer?

I will do. I will just have to take it to a local computer shop and get them to put a new motherboard in.

Oh OK, if you need to get your data/file urgently, you can get a USB SATA external hard drive enclosure/adapter

Viet - Computer Tech :

then put the hard drive in it, then connect the enclosure/adapter to a working computer, then you can get your data out

Or you can have the local computer shop does it
