Ask a Computer Question, Get an Answer ASAP!
hello sir/madam, I would like to help you, please let me know when you are ready
hi, do you have the cables that came with your camera?
is it like this? yellow, red, white
I will check and be back in a moment
ok, i will be here waiting
No, I have only 1 grey cable which I am used to using to download the photos from my camera to my laptop. This query has come about because I have just been on holiday, taken a lot of photos and now have a fault with my camera and cannot view the photos. I thought that if I could view the photos on the TV then I can get the fault on the camera rectified afterwards.
did you save the photos into the internal memory of your camera? or, do you have an SD card in the camera and you saved the photos into that card?
I saved them onto the SD card
if so, we can easily retrieve the photos from the sdcard directly, we don't even need the camera itself
do you have an sd card reader at the back of your tv?
Yes I believe so - I have had a look and found a slot that the SD card fits into
ok, so what you need to do is,
- remove the sd card from your camera first- insert the card into the sdcard slot on the tv
when done, you will need to switch your tv view to the required mode so you can view the photos inside the card
How do I do that?
were you able to insert the card into the card slot on the tv?
when inserting it, make sure you press firmly on the card until you hear it click
Yes, have done that
now can you turn on the tv
your tv should read the card and a screen will pop up with thumbnails of your pictures or movies inside the card
what happens exactly? your tv screen shows the pictures now?
or nothing happens?
Nothing happened. Have changed the viewing channel to one that says AV2 CAM but the screen is blank apart from the top left corner where it says CAM
can you remove the card now while your tv is turned on, and insert the card again. let's see if your tv detects the card automatically
No, nothing happened
it seems there is a problem with the card
do you have a memory card reader on your computer or laptop? so we can test it
No I haven't
you can get a memory card reader from your local computer shop, or amazonhttp://www.amazon.co.uk/eSecure-Speed-Reader-Digital-Memory/dp/B003CKC8W8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1413192017&sr=8-3with this reader you can transfer (copy) all the photos inside the sd card, to your computer and view them
OK thank you that's what I'll have to do. Thank you for your help.
you are welcome
