GOod morning.
I am hoping that you can help me please. I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. I was given it for Christmas 2011 but it remained in the box for a good few months as I was 'afraid' of it so subsequently it was not fully charged for a while. Now I have to charge it every 24 hours and it is incredibly slow and the screen dies on me frequently. Would this be a problem with the battery or would it be something else that you could help me with?

I am sorry to hear that you are facing problem with your Galaxy tab.

Michelle :

if the unit is not used charged for few months the battery gets complete discharged and when you connect the charger to charge it will not pick the charge hence the battery is dead that is why is discharges very fast.

Michelle :

you will need a new battery.

Michelle :

after you install the battery you will have to reset the phone to factory default then you will be able to use the tab without any problem.

Its been ok for a long time and only just happening now. It charges ok to 100% but just runs down really quickly. Also the tablet doesn't respond to touch sometimes and just seems to do its own thing sometimes like leaving a game or an internet connection. Would all this be connected with a dodgy battery?

battery is not connected with the tab running slow or getting app error.

you need a new battery for the power and stay powered on.

second problem is your tab running slower or getting application error for that you need to follow the reset steps.

dont be confused there are 2 things which you need to do.

1. Battery replacement.

2. Reset steps will fix the tab to normal usage.
