  1. From Home, press the Menu button, and then select Settings.
  2. Turn one page, and then select next to Parental Controls.
  3. Enter your Parental Controls password, and then select Submit to save your settings.

When Parental Controls are set, a lock icon appears at the top of the screen.

Forgot Kindle Passcode

If you can't remember the passcode for your Kindle Keyboard (not your Amazon password), you'll need to reset your device.

  1. Type resetmykindle into the passcode field.
  2. Press the Enter key (below the Del key).

Then if you get a password ***** type

Not until I put one in. It worked happily for a year but once I put in a password ***** now have to put it in when I turn it on
