I have been receiving hundreds of duplicate e mails now have over 7 thousand e mails

please let me know which email service are you using like gmail, yahoo, msn, aol, etc

I use incredimail ( is that gmail?)

what is the last part of your email address after [email protected] sign

Michelle :

is it gmail.com

Customer:

no, it is btinternet.com

Michelle :

  • Open IncrediMail

  • Go to the Tools menu and select Accounts

  • Highlight the account you want to edit and click Properties

  • Go to the Advanced tab and uncheck the box for Leave a copy of messages on the server and click OK when done.

Michelle :

once its done do a send recieve and let me know if it still downloads duplicate emails

Seems to be ok at the moment. Is there a quick way to delete 8,000 emails?

you mean the duplicate ones

Also need to delete them from the deleted file

well there is a workaround that can be done as there is no tool in incredimal to do it

Michelle :

you can simply move one copy of all the different emails to a separate folder

Michelle :

then select all emails in inbox and delete

Michelle :

select all emails in deleted mail and delete

Michelle :

then transfer those emails that you moved in a different folder back to inbox and then delete that folder
