To open internet explorer, Click Start > type Internet Explorer

Sorry you have lost me here. When i click on her IE it goes straight to the https://google.co.uk where the error message comes up, so cant find "check status" sorry about delay in my response i am having to switch between accounts.

1: Open Internet Explorer
2: From Menu Bar, ClickTools > Internet Options > Advanced
OK so far, on my account but on her account when you open IE it automatically goes to google where this error comes up
3: Click Restore Advanced settings
4: Click APPly then OK
When IE got reset it won't load google page

Just close Internet Explorere and reopen

Its directed to bing as earlier it had google, Bing is Microsoft search engine

Are you still there, it came up with "MSN" page, with "Bing" search engine, i then typed in google and tried to enter www.google.co.uk and it still shows the error message

I still have the same problem on my partners account as i had yesterday.
So this morning i restored it to a previous date (11/11/2014). However after having done that she got the automatic "Windows Updates" installing which sent her back to a Norton browser, when i put www.google.co.uk in the addres bar the security certificate warning came back.
