I am having difficulties in openning certain pdf files which give the following message

I am using OS X Yosemite 10.10 and Adobe reader XI 11.0.09. which seem to be the latesy versions of both. Haveyou any ideas.

Mike the Mac Medic :

Make sure Adobe Reader is the default reader for PDFs. Right click on any PDF file and go to Get Info. Under Open with: make sure it is set to Adobe Reader if not change it and then check Change All. If it is already set ti that there is nothing more you can do. See here:
