Hi there!

Pete :

You will need to install M-Crew on the new computer.

Pete :

It is only available on the supplied CD with the Sony HCD-C7NT.7

Customer:

-Windows XP (Home/Pro): DriverXP folder
-Windows 2000: Driver2000 folder
-Windows 98 (SE)/Me: Driver folder

Customer:

I have tried installing it and it dd not run, so I uninstalled and tried again, still would not run. Both times froim the original installatuion CD but the read.me shows that it is for the following systens

Customer:

-Windows XP (Home/Pro): DriverXP folder
-Windows 2000: Driver2000 folder
-Windows 98 (SE)/Me: Driver folder

Pete :

It is quite an old software, designed for those systems, so it may not be compatible with your latest Windows 8.1 computer.

Customer:

Are there any unpdated drivers to make it work in 8.1?

Pete :

There are no updates or newer versions of the software available.

Customer:

Any alternatives?

Pete :

Unfortunately not - Sony did not expect these systems to be around for more than a few years.
Your system is one of probably only a few still in existence, so they have not had enough demand to warrant any ongoing support for these systems.

Customer:

According to my manual I bought it in 2003 and it has been brilliant. That is a real shame. OK, thanks

Pete :

You're welcome

Pete :

Have a good weekend!
