Hi,
My name is Randy.
I will assist you.
I am sorry to hear that you are having this issue.
Did you try the hard factory reset using the buttons on the phone while the phone is powered off?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Yes, I think I have any way. Not exactly too much of a gizmo geek myself so possibly only performed factory reset, is hard reset a different process?

Expert:  Randy Computer Tech replied 2 years ago.
okay, try this please.
Make sure that you have the Samsung contacts backed up,
Then power off the phone and press and hold Power, Volume Up and Home buttons at the same time.

3. Don't release the buttons until you see the recovery mode screen.

5. Once your Samsung Galaxy S5 is in recovery mode you can use "volume up" and "down buttons" to scroll up and down and "power button" to make a selection.

6. Now scroll to“wipe data factory reset” and make a selection using the "power button".
