I have just received my newkindle and am having difficulty getting started. Having entered thecorrect home hub it will not accept my password. WHY ?

Hi there and welcome
This can be an issue with the Home Hub
Can you please on the Hub hold the reset button in for 10 seconds, then release.
Once done, hold the power on the Kindle for 35 seconds, then release.
Turn on the Kindle and then try to connect to the Hub
