Why is my "History" still accumulating since you removed it, and I haven't used the internet since ?

Expert:  Viet - Computer Tech replied 2 years ago.
I'm sorry, that is strange. Do you recognize any of those website history?

I recommend to use a better Internet browser program called Firefox:

http://www.firefox.com/

Thank you.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

I do not recognise any of the history at all !

Expert:  Viet - Computer Tech replied 2 years ago.

Can you click on a couple and check? Did you see any history you did not recognize previously before this issue occurred today? Thank you.

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Yes, that is the starting point and I thought they were all coming via Internet Explorer, which I don't use. I use Aol.

Can you help - I don't know who or what is accessing my computer that is why I thought imminent was a virus !

Thanks time

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

I would like to know how to prevent my computer from showing site history I have not visited, does someone have access to my computer ? If you cannot help then please advise.

Thankyou

Expert:  Viet - Computer Tech replied 2 years ago.

That's strange. Please download and install the Malwarebytes program, and scan your computer, then quarantine all if it detects anything:

https://www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download/

; just use only free feature
, then restart the computer
, then go to Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> Internet Options, then click on Delete, then check all boxes, then click on Delete and confirm.

Please let me know if there is still any issue. Thank you.

Expert:  Viet - Computer Tech replied 2 years ago.
Actually, please try this first:

  1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then click search.)

  2. Enter Control Panel in the search box, and tap or click Control Panel.

  3. Enter Recovery in the Control Panel search box, and then tap or click Recovery.

  4. Tap or click Open System Restore, and then follow the instructions, restore the computer to any date before this issue has occurred, check.

Please let me know if there is still any issue. Thank you.

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

I actually tried a "restore" two days ago but still have the same problem. I have a malware called "hitman" which I use. Would you still advise your option. Hitman showed 40 cookies related to internet explorer but deleting them doesn't work either !

Expert:  Viet - Computer Tech replied 2 years ago.

Yes, please try my MalwareBytes program. Also, if needed, try the free CCleaner:

https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download

By the way, you do not get this any more right: http://startiminent.com/startweb/1033/homepage McAffee gives warning that this is a Dangerous site?

Please let me know if there is still any issue. Thank you.

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Viet, - I don't get the "start imminent" anymore , thanks.

After installing and running Malwarebytes, there were 140 items put into quarantine ! The site also advised on numerous occasions that it had blocked - Trojan. Fake MS.ED. I ran the CClean program as advised and everything would appear to be working normally.

Thankyou once again and kind regards,

Jim Lomas
