The problem is that our Mac is not showing all mail in the inbox or receiving new mail. We use Entourage,

Just for your information "new" seems to have disappeared from the task bar.

No we did not see this question. We are using Entourage X for Mac. Hope this helps.

Can you see the View option on the Menu bar?

Pete :

Go to View, then select the Inbox folder.

Pete :

You should then be able to see your new mails.

We do have View in the Menu bar, but no option for Inbox folder.

Did Entourage work ok for you previously, or are you trying to set it up for the first time?

It has always worked before.

We had send and receive in the menu bar, but it is no longer there.

The options in Vie are:

Ok, so the buttons were there before, but have now disappeared..

I think I have figured out what is going on.

Pete :

To restore the buttons again:

Cttrl-right-click on the toolbar in Entourage X and choose 'Customize Toolbar'.

Pete :

You can then drag any button from the selection you are shown back onto the toolbar.

Pete :

Locate the Send and Receive buttons and drag them back onto the toolbar.

What happens when you right-click on the toolbar?

Options come up, but not customise toolbar.

Was anything changed or any updates installed just before the problem occurred?

Ok, then the only other option available is to reinstall Entourage X.

We will try that then. No software disc. Can we do it via the Internet?

Yes, you can reinstall Entourage via the internet.

JACUSTOMER-emhz8jou- :

We cannot set up Entourage again because it needs a Microsoft account and to set it up we need to receive mail to verify account....and we cannot receive mail ! So we are going round in circles.

How was it originally set up?

Tried to reinstall entourage via the net. but need to open a Microsoft account which requires email verification, and we cannot receive mail! Very frustrating.
