This is usually an issue with the Firmware, so I would first like you to do this please.
Remove the charger and battery from the phone and hold the power button down for 35 seconds then release.
Release, then connect the charger and battery, wait 10 minutes and try to turn on the phone.
Let me know the results please
Thank you

how do i connect to my laptop?

Expert:  Richard replied 2 years ago.
It will have come with a data cable that connects to the USB port.
Do you have this?
If not we can do it without the computer
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

i 'm sure i had one but cannot find it sorry

Expert:  Richard replied 2 years ago.
ok, it would likely of not helped Janis, but in rare cases, if its just firmware, then the computer detects it, the phone communicates and starts.
But it is very likely to be the internal mainboard on the phone that has faulted. If you can get hold of the cable, run the procedure I just gave to confirm this. With this you would need to have the phone replaced. It will be covered under the warranty and they replace it at no cost. If you cant get hold of the cable, just go straight to replacing it, they won't even bother to try it on the computer, they will just replace it for you.
If you would like any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know.
And if you can take a second to rate my service, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
