Internet explorer will not start. What can I do to reset it?
I am currently using google chrome on the same pc so interent connection is fine.
Do I need to be on a separate pc/ipad to communicate with you?

You can reset Internet Explorer settings to their default which should help solve the problem. To do that, follow these instructions:

1. Click the Windows Start button and then Control Panel

2. There click on Network and Internet and then Internet Options

3. When the Internet Options window opens, click on the last tab - Advanced

4. There click on the Reset... button located at the bottom

5. After you have clicked it, click the new Reset button located at the bottom, without checking the Delete personal settings check-box

6. After that, Internet Explorer settings will reset to their defaults. Click Close and exit Internet Properties window

7. Wait for 5 seconds and then start Internet Explorer and check it that helped

If it is still the same, you will need to restart the computer, then check.

To reconnect back to me after the restart, just start Google Chrome and go back to this web page - you can save the link (add as bookmark by pressing the Ctrl and D keys).

I had already done as you suggested before I contacted you but I have done it again, as you suggested, and IE is still not opening.

In order for me to connect, you need to download a remote desktop connection program to your computer and start it.

We can use TeamViewer to securely establish remote desktop connection and exchange information. You will be able to see everything I am doing on your computer and you can terminate the remote connection any time.

Once you have downloaded it, start it and permit the connection. When started, the blue TeamViewer window will show you access numbers - Your ID and Password.
