This is usually an issue with the Firmware, so I would first like you to do this please.
Remove the charger from the Kindle and hold the power button to off for 35 seconds.
Release, then connect the charger and turn on the Kindle and tell me if it is now available please.

My kindle is now telling me I need to update 1-Click Payment but when I hit the update it won't allow me to do so

When I press the update button it goes back to 'buying' and then the box with update 1-Click payment comes up again.. Hope you can understand that!

Can you update you payments settings via the website on your computer please.
Do this via my instructions below
Visit the page for your account - click here to go to this page
- Log into using your Amazon account (the same Amazon account you have registered on your Kindle)
On the right side select "Settings"
Under 'Kindle Payment Settings' (first option)
Click 'Edit Payment Method'
Change your credit card details.
Restart your Kindle and sync it.
It will then be updated
I can also do these steps for you, and have made a request via Additional Services. This is optional, and if you choose to do this, I can, with your permission, remote into your computer while you watch and do all these steps (and deal with any problems that arise during them) for you.
