line provider is sky but on a bt landline

problen began friday 13th march

ok, I ran a test on your Line James, but it refuses to run the test.
You need to call 0800 800 151 as there may be an issue with your account.
But I cannot check this from here

Can you call the number please James and have them check it as it will not run a line test on this number (they are blocking this) and requesting you call.

ok, sorry I saw you indicated to me BT was your Line provider.
I ran a test via Sky and there were no line issues.
What is the make and model of your router that the phone is connecting into?

Can you remove the power from the router and wait 10 minutes.
Then connect the power and tell em if you can now dial out please.

hello again richard

i phoned 03442 611 653 and pleasant lady said no trouble with account

but asked me to unscrew front plate of phone socket

i have done and tried plugging phone straight into line but i'm afraid

it's still no joy

she says that if this does not work she will send out an engineer

You will have to have an engineer sent out. It is a physical problem and is likely to be on the connection point at your location.
