hi, i have a tosh comp satellite c870, I have been very happy with it and to a great extent still am. I have been operating several Bluetooth peripherals using a Bluetooth dongle in the USB port. However yesterday I received some updates one of which was updates for Bluetooth stack managers I believe it was called. I duly installed these updates. And that's when things seemed to go very pear shaped. All of my Bluetooth peripherals have been removed from " devices and printers" and my Bluetooth is no longer functioning. I also receive a message:-"thank you for evaluating the Bluetooth stack for windows by Toshiba. The evaluation period has expired. Please obtain a licence for this version of Bluetooth stack for windows by Toshiba." What on earth does that mean in English? Where would I obtain such a licence? I never needed a licence previously and everything was working perfectly until the installation of your "update". I am using a privately purchased USB dongle and therefore I have no understanding why I need it licensed or any software from yourselves. Can you please sort the mess out so I can continue using my computer happily as I was before your "improvement"

Did you notice what kind of updates it was, such as Toshiba updates, Windows updates, etc.?

What's the brand and model of your USB Bluetooth dongle?

Thank you for replying back. If possible, can you please try this first: Click Start->All programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore and restore the computer to any date before this issue has occurred, then check.

If that does not work, please go to Start\Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features, and uninstall any Toshiba bluetooth program you see, then check. If needed, start the computer, and check.

If needed, please check the label on the USB bluetooth dongle device for any model you see.

If not possible, or if it still does not work, we can schedule a time for remote support. Please let me know. Thank you.

I have tried both of your potential solutions above, and Bluetooth is still non-functioning.
