I cannot delete the last remaining print request on my hp photosmart

I cannot delete the last remaining print request on my hp photosmart 8250 prnter which stops me using theprinter

how is the printer connected to the computer usb or wifi

Michelle :

please follow the below steps

Michelle :

open control panel...device and printers

Michelle :

right click on hp printer icon and click on uninstall\remove

Michelle :

also turn off printer

Michelle :

after about a minute turn on printer

Michelle :

in the devices and printers window on your computer, click on add printer option on top and follow the onscreen wizard to add the printer again

Michelle :

once added, try printing and let me know the status

Michelle :

ok..please unplug printer usb cable

Michelle :

wait for 30 secs

Michelle :

with printer turned on, plug in usb cable to computer

Michelle :

it should automatically get detected and install itself

Michelle :

you can see the same from a popup message on bottom right of your screen saying, new hardware detected\installed

Michelle :

once its installed the printer icon will show up in devices and printers

Michelle :

let me know if you get the icon back

I have the icon back and have printed your instructions ok

Michelle :

ok great

Michelle :

try printing another page and check if it prints fine

signing off hopefully no further problems
