Hi, my name is ***** ***** certified computer professional with over 10 years experience. I will be glad to assist you with this.
With the phone turned on, you can use the following instructions for the first solution:
Go to the Settings folder and scroll down to Privacy or Backup & Reset, depending on the version of your device.
Select Factory Data Reset, and then tap Reset Tablet.
Read all additional warnings and press Delete All.
If you restarted the tablet and you were still unable to use the touchscreen or didn’t have access to the settings shown above, you should turn the device off. Once it is switched off and entirely charged, you can use the hard reset buttons to do the same as before:
Press samsung-galaxy-tab-2-keyPower (1) & Volume Down (2) and wait for the Samsung logo to appear on the screen.
Release Power & keep holding Volume – while waiting for the Recovery Menu.
Release that key & use Volume buttons to choose Wipe Data.
Confirm with Power, and then choose Yes in the same way.
Wait for the last screen to charge & select Reboot System Now.

Thanks, ***** ***** to be so long replying, but it's taking longer than I thought to reset my tablet. I'll let you know when it does and the result.
