Hello,
My name is Jason. I look forward to helping you today.
I can see that you may need a little bit of extra help. It appears that your computer has more than one problem being that you are getting end process windows and such. May I ask if you still need help with this problem? If so, may I start a screen sharing session on your computer and help you resolve the problem? I look forward to your response.
Thank you,
Jason

Please, give me both of the ID and password.

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Is it possible to survive without the showing of a dsektop? It is an old computer so this can be the reason...could be another problem.

Expert:  Jason Jones replied 2 years ago.
All things are possible.
Let's try this.
Please, follow the instructions below to solve your problem:
- Click the Start Button > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore.
- Choose to Restore to an earlier time > Click Next.
- Choose a date at least one week before you started experiencing your problem.
- Click NEXT > NEXT > NEXT.
- Your computer will restart and your issue will be gone.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

It has not successfully restored to the back-date of 4th May, 2015, System Check Point.

If this restoration does not correct the problem, you can; 1) Choose another restoration. 2) Undo this restoration.

So far it looks good, but as it says, nothing garanteed. or experimenting.

Expert:  Jason Jones replied 2 years ago.
Is the printer working now? If not, repeat the instructions and use a different date.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

My printer is a problem for a while now...were not connected.

My problem was the lost of my "Microsoft Word Icon". which is still not restored. Opening the files is a problem, but I have to go along with it for now.

Thanks very much to both of you! Listening to hear from you.

Expert:  Jason Jones replied 2 years ago.
My apologies. I had a brain hiccup when I mentioned the printer by accident.
Let's try this:
- Hold down the Windows key and the letter R at the same time.
- In the window that appears, type: winword
- Click Ok.
- Did that open Microsoft Word for you?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

what do you call the window key?

Expert:  Jason Jones replied 2 years ago.
I don't understand your question. I call the Windows key, the Windows key. The windows key may be located on the side of your computer on the Windows label.
If it is asking for the key for Microsoft Word, then it is asking for the Microsoft Word key. That will be located on the CD or the papers that came with the Microsoft Word installation disks.
If you wish, you can simply install a different application to edit and manage your Word documents. The free application is called Open Office. You can do everything with Open Office that you were able to do with Microsoft Office/Word.
You can download a free version of Office called Open Office from the following link: http://download.openoffice.org/
- Download, save, and run that file
You can use that program to create and edit Office documents (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Thanks Jason, I figure out the window key and i got the Microsoft Word page. Thank you!

I am not too good at download and saving links, have to get the nohow.

Listen to hear frm you.

Expert:  Jason Jones replied 2 years ago.
Thank you for the update.
You can simply follow those instructions to open Microsoft Word.
Now we can create a shortcut to Microsoft Word.
- Right click an empty spot on your desktop.
- Click New > Shortcut
- Click the browse button.
- Navigate to c:\Program Files (x86). If you can't find that folder, go to c:\Program Files instead.
- Double click Microsoft Office
- Double click the Office directory (It may be Office14, Office13, Office10, or something along those lines.
- Double click the Winword application icon.
- Click Next > Next > Finish
Double clicking the newly created shortcut will open Word for you.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Jason I cannot find "Navigate to c Program Files (86) or Program Files instead. I saw all those icons on the desktop...but cannot find that file.

Expert:  Jason Jones replied 2 years ago.
What does that mean? You cannot find any folder?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

I do not understand. I told you i cannot finf the file to get that ?Microsoft Word"icon.

Expert:  Jason Jones replied 2 years ago.
I am aware of that.
You said that you cannot navigate to c:\Program Files (x86) or to C:\Program Files.
What does that mean? Do you not see the folders? Which folders do you see?
After you click Browse, you will have to find that under "My Computer" > C:
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Jason I am confuse, I have to go now, tomorrow I'll take my time and go through it slowly with you.

Expert:  Jason Jones replied 2 years ago.
Thank you
