The option for completely deleting an Outlook.com e-mail account is buried deep in the Outlook.com menus - probably to discourage users to delete their account.

However, you don't need to click on several menus to go there. Instead, you can access the "Delete account" page directly by clicking on this link:

http://mail.live.com/mail/CloseAccountConfirmation.aspx?wa=wsignin1.0

There you can follow the instructions to completely delete the account.
