Instead of my Google Page I'm getting a Mac web page, when previously I'd go straight to Google where i can access my Gmail

Ok, open Safari if it isn't currently running. Click the word "Safari" in the menu bar at the top of the screen and choose "Preferences..." Select "General" from the icon bar at the top of the window if it's not already selected. Locate the entry for Homepage and type the following in the box:https://www.google.com When you've typed it in, close the Preferences window. Quit and restart Safari and if all goes well it should return to Google for your Homepage. John

Did you receive Yes and I did what you said and I get a google home but not my original but an inboxace my way . and when I try to access my gmail I get a log in box asking me to sign in. Unfortunately I've forgotten the password. I never had to do this before it logged in automatically. If all else fails I'll have to try and open anther account.

Hi again, Did your homepage go directly into your gmail previously? If so, repeat the previous procedure but replace https://www.google.com with the following:https://mail.google.com/ If you've forgotten your password, you can use the self-service Google Account recovery feature from your computer to retrieve this information. Please go to the following site:https://www.google.com/accounts/recovery/ If you don't remember your ID, select "I don't know my username" and follow the prompts. It will ask for you to identify yourself as owner of the account in some way (such as phone number, alternative email, etc...). Once you have the username you can return to the page and choose "I don't know my password". It will then guide you through the step required to reset it. John
