My HP 4700 has just come up with 50.1 Fuser error. It says to contact you after trying to turn it off and on, which I have tried. Help please

I have tried all the ideas except changing the fuser unit as I don't have a spare. The same message appears. The machine stopped during a run, there is no blockage does this mean a new fuser kit or if I buy one will that produce the same message?

Sometimes removing it and a good clean does the job, remember to leave it out for 30 mins or so. Since it was already running it could mean a new fuser kit OR it could mean the power source isn't working properly. Try connecting it to a separate power point isolated from everything else to discard that. If the LaserJet comes on normally and still doesn't work it could mean you need a new fuser kit - you shouldn't see the error again if you've checked everything else properly. Does this make sense?

Will try to get a new fuser kit, but it won't come now until Thursday, will reply when I've tried that. Thanks.
