Screen keeps jumping from one page to another & the desktop making it virtually impossible to type anything or do anything

Click Start, type in MSCONFIG and press enter.
Click on the Startup Tab and click Disable All.
Click on the Services Tab and click "Hide All Microsoft Services"
Then click Disable All
Click ok, restart and let me know if you still have the problem

It happened whilst unplugged but now appears to have stopped but then its just strted again

ok, go to Control Panel, User Accounts.
Make a new user account
Then restart the computer and sign in with this user account and tell me if you have the same problem with this please.

We have to do a reinstall of windows. We have exhausted all repair options and this leaves only the reinstall left.
Make sure first to backup all your data off the computer (programs you will need to reinstall again).
Then turn the computer off, turn it on and keep tapping F11 until you get to the recovery manager.
Perform a factory restore which will reinstall windows onto the computer which will then stop this switching.

Does that mean back up my e-mail accounts ? I don't use any programs as such I just surf the web , Facebook & order goods & supplies via internet Plus banking

If your not sure, whats the part of your email address AFTER the @ symbol?

ok, for the hotmail one, go to www.hotmail.com and sign in, check that you see the emails there.
For Ropework-uk.com sign in here and check if the emails are there.

If so, you do not need to worry about backing them up as they are on the server.

Nothing happened when I pressed F11 omputer just restarted as per usual , this is driving me nuts its vitualy unuseable

You need to keep tapping F11 as the computer restarts and keep tapping it until the recovery manager loads please.

No, as it happens with the Keyboard disconnected, so I ruled this out already.
Its the windows disk you use to reinstall, so put it in the computer, restart the computer, and keep tapping any key to start the installation of windows.

It is the motherboard that has faulted.
We have ruled out all other causes for this, and confirmed it now.
I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the computer to have this replaced. It will be covered by the warranty if this has not expired, and the replacement will be done at no cost to you.
