I have an old iPhone 4. How can I see which carrier it is locked

Resolved Question:

I have an old iPhone 4. How can I see which carrier it is locked to?
Assuming it is locked to one carrier, does a complete delete (via iTunes) allow me to use another carrier?
If not, how can I unlock it?
