Can you please remove the power to the recorder (so unplug it from the power socket).
Then on the actual recorder, hold the power button for 60 seconds then release.
Then wait 10 minutes, connect the power again to the recorder, turn it on and tell me please if it is now operating correctly.

Humax & You View loaded offered me the chance to record ...but says sorry you cannot record this

I need you to reset the box please, as its not seeing the hard drive
To do this
on your remote control and go to Settings
> Device Management > Reset YouView Box
Then tell me if you can record please.

I can get to settings....but it freezes there or on Device Manager.....

It is the internal mainboard that has faulted.
I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the unit to have this replaced. It will be covered by the warranty if this has not expired, and the replacement will be done at no cost to you.
