Cannot import photos from camera, seems Windows 10 does not

cannot import photos from camera, seems Windows 10 does not recognize camera. No problem with importing into desktop with Vista.

Nikon Coolpix 2200. In the Dummies book I get as far as This Icon. It does not list a camera on the devices list. IF it were listed so that I could continue with the instructions I would then run into a problem. Section 3 tells me to right click my camera and then an Import Pictures and Videos window will appear. How does one right click a camera? Very mystified by this as with Windows 10 generally.

ok, I do not have the book so cannot see what you are referring to, but thats ok.With the camera connected to the computer, press the windows key + EA new window opens.Click on This PCyou see then on the right a list of drives and devices.Tell me what you see listed there please

I can see you are a first time user to the site. What we do here is either a question and answer type of conversation or remote support where I would actually connect to the computer and have a look and attempt to fix the problem for you. Remote support can save a lot of time if you are not comfortable performing repairs yourself. Sometimes even with instructions you can make a mistake and make things worse. I will send an offer through for remote support and should you accept I will connect and see what is going on and fix the issue. Otherwise we can continue to talk like this but I will need to ask a number of other questions and try and walk you through some steps. Both options are 100% guaranteed by the way.
