after I accidentally switched off without shutting down my acer xc603 is asking for a password ***** restart as far as I am aware I have never had a password. any help appreciated?

Does it show a name or username at the password ***** login screen?
Does it show an email address at the password ***** login screen?

Can you please shut down the Acer desktop computer, then disconnect the power cord from the computer for about a minute, then re-connect, then turn on and check. What is showing on the computer's screen now?

Can you try password 1234 and check? If needed, try password 123 and check.
