Am being asked to verify my password for my Outlook account

Am being asked to verify my password ***** my Outlook account as the message says I am trying to access "sensitive information". Suspect a phishing scam but cannot get into my account. Help!

Outlook is an email client software it ask for the password ***** which you have configured the email on it.

What email service are you using.

you can check the email options in outlook that how many email accounts has been configured in it and you can remove the one which is nor required.

if you are able to login fine of the webmail then you would have to open outlook to reconfigure the email in outlook.

open outlook and take a picture of the password ***** screen from your cell phone and try to post the picture on www.filedropper.com and let me know the download link so that i can see and identify what password ***** ***** i believe its prompting you to enter your mac login password.

when you start your computer the mac you enter the login password ***** the mac is that correct, i am asking you to enter mac password ***** not the email password. Did you try that.
