When I try to open a word or excel document I get an error

When I try to open a word or excel document I get an error message stating C/program files (x86) Microsoft Office/Root/Office 16/Appvlsv Subsystem 32.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media. Error status 0xc0000020.
I do not have the original installation media
