Microsoft 10 advised update clear programme in use leave laptop switched on and they would update all I have now is a blank screen which lit up and I can't switch off

Can you please disconnect the power cord / charger from the laptop , then if possible, remove the battery at the back / bottom of the laptop for a minute, then reinstall it, then turn on and check.
