Step 1. Push and hold down the power button on the ipad and turn off the power the ipad must be off.

Step 2. connect the data cable to the iphone end only

step 3. press and hold down the home button without powering on the ipad and while holding the home button down connect the other end of the cable to the compute on which itunes screen must be open at the same time.

As you connect the cable to the computer you will see the itunes screen which has a Restore Ipad button
