Resolved Question:

I'm using Excel 2016, on Office 365. Is there a way to freeze/lock more than just the top row? In other words, freeze, say, 3 rows, which will always be visible as one scrolls down the page. At the moment it only looks as though I can only freeze the top row.

Hello! Thank you for choosing Just Answer. I would be happy to assist today with your Excel question.

You are looking to freeze more than just the top row in Excel 2016 correct?

Expert:  Cabletech replied 29 days ago.

To do this:

  1. Select the first row you DON'T want to freeze. So if you want to freeze rows 1,2,3, highlight row 4.
  2. Click on the View tab on the ribbon.
  3. Select the Freeze Panes command, then choose Freeze Panes from the drop-down menu.
  4. This will freeze the rows for you!

Let me know if you have any other questions, Richard!
