My desktop monitor is not working. I switched it off last

Hi Keith,

Is the power light on the monitor on?

If not, ensure the power lead is plugged in firmly and the monitor is switched on at the mains socket and the monitor itself.

If the power light is on, make sure the cable to the computer are plugged in firmly at both ends.

If that doesn't solve it try powering down your computer and re-starting it.

Hope that helps.

Best Regards,

Rich

There are no lights coming on anywhere on the monitor. I have already checked all connections. I have already powered down and restarted twice this morning, to no avail. I have just switched off again, but so far this is not solving the problem.

Switched on again but still no joy.

Hi Keith,

Do you have another mains lead for the monitor you can try?

Also, try plugging it in to a different mains socket.

Rich

I plugged it to a different socket and that seems to have done the trick! Many thanks.

Hi Keith,

That's great news and thanks for the positive rating.

Suggest you have the socket checked out by an electrician if its temperamental.

Best Regards,

Rich
