These answers are for informational purposes and do not replace a physician head-to-head visit. A patient-physician relationship is not established.

dermdoc19 :

Hello

dermdoc19 :

Thank you for asking your question and having the foresight to enclose a photograph.

dermdoc19 :

I examined the photograph and this appears to be a large plantar wart.

dermdoc19 :

It would be prudent to consult your physician as the longer the delay, the more difficult it would be to remove.

dermdoc19 :

I can not absolutely rule out a verrucous carcinoma. However, these are cute rare, and not very aggressive. I strongly favor a plantar wart.

Customer:

Is it possible to be a plantar wart if its itchy and liquid was coming out of it?

dermdoc19 :

It is possible that there is a slight infection.

dermdoc19 :

There appear to be little wart like areas near the main lesion.

dermdoc19 :

That is what steered me to that diagnosis.

Customer:

I've also been to the spa in the magnesium salt water and after that i had little plantar warts on my hands, do you think that could be related?

dermdoc19 :

Certainly. You also may have picked up the virus at the spa.

Customer:

Thank you very much could you recommend me a treatment and an easy way how to get rid of it?

dermdoc19 :

I would combine cryotherapy after curettage from you rphysician with an at home nightly treatment with Occlusal HP.

Customer:

So do i need to go see a doctor to cut it out?

dermdoc19 :

I would thinks so, yes. This looks pretty large.

dermdoc19 :

You casn start Occlusal at home

Customer:

And i can get occlusal from a normal shop can't i?

dermdoc19 :

Yes....or an equivalent.

dermdoc19 :

Someting containing a high percentage of salicylic acid

Customer:

Thank you very much

dermdoc19 :

Very welcome.
