I have extremely dry fingers - it started on one hand thumb

I have extremely dry fingers - it started on one hand thumb and has now spread to the first 3 fingers of both hands. I have tried E45 repair, snow fire, steroid cream from the doctor and nothing has worked. I have not changed soap, washing liquid etc.
The fingers are very sore with cracks in the skin

I would use a stronger steroid like desonide and seal it in with Vitamin A and E
