Hello Ann! Thank you for your question. I will be assisting you today.I'm sorry about the issue. So you are able to take pictures with the SDXC memory card inserted in the camera, but the computer does not recognize the SDXC card. With the memory card inserted to the camera, and with the camera powered on and connected to the computer, do you see the camera device and/or camera's drive letter in (My) Computer? What's the brand and model of your computer?Edit: It looks like you are away; please reply back when you are available to continue. Thank you,
I can take lovely pictures, what I can not do is download them onto my computer. The screen tells me it does not see any pictures to download.
So I assumed it was something to do with the type of memory card.
Sorry I have not been away I thought you e mailed me with the answer,
Hi Ann,I'm sorry, we need some more information from you first before we are able to find a solution for you. You are likely correct with the type of the memory card, which I was suspecting, but please let me know the followings, so I can confirm:- What's the brand and model of your computer?- Do you have another memory card/type to try, such as an SD memory card or an SDHC memory card?- If you remove the memory card from the camera, then are you able to view those pictures you have taken on the camera's screen? Please let know. Thank you
Please could I have an answer by tomorrow as I wanted to purchase the correct memory card which allows me to take photos and then allows me to download on to a computer. I am going on holiday Saturday.
I have no other memory card thats why I asked you before I spend any more money on memory cards which will not allow me to download onto a computer.
My computer is a desktop with windows xp .
Yes I can view my pictures on my camera. But with my old camera a Kodak I was able to download my photos and get them printed on line. I live out in the country 40 miles from any time which has stores that you can take memory cards to, so thats why I do it on line

Yes I can see my pictures on my camera but I would like to download them so I can order prints on line. I need an answer by tomorrow as I am going on holiday
Hi Ann,Thank you for providing me your computer model (you have not provided me the exact model of the desktop yet (not the model of the asus monitor, but that's okay since you just said the desktop has windows xp, so it must be pretty old); that's what I need in order to determine the type of memory card you need. There are 3 types of memory cards that work with your Panasonic DMC-FX90 camera: SD (Secure Digital) , SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity), and SDXC (Secure Digital eXtended Capacity.) All looks the same physically in size, but the capacitty storage space for SD is the smallest, SD supports up to 2GB capacity, SDHC supports from 4GB to 32GB, and SDX supports 64GB or higher.Your desktop computer is old, so it likely supports only SD memory cards, so buy SD 2GB memory card from your local computer store:http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sandisk-2GB-Secure-Digital-Card/dp/B000BQ7GW8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1379013789&sr=8-2&keywords=sandisk+2gb+sd+cardWith a 2GB SD memory card, you could take a few hundreds picture at a time (depending on the settings you set on the camera, but that's normally the case.) If you want to take more pictures, then you can get an SDHC memory card (with size 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB):http://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-SDSDB-032G-B35-32GB-Class-Memory/dp/B002G12OBO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1379014134&sr=8-1&keywords=sandisk+32gb+sdhc+cardAlthough your old desktop may not be able to read an SDHC memory card, you can get a USB SD/SDHC (or all-in-one) memory card reader that suports SDHC from your local computer store, then install/connect the card reader to your desktop, then insert the SDHC memory card to the reader, then it will work:http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fujifilm-Card-Reader-SDHC-Cards/dp/B001725Y0Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1379014343&sr=8-1&keywords=sandisk+USB+memory+card+reader
(Don't try an SDXC memory card reader as it's likely not compatible with your old desktop computer.)
