I have a Canon MP495. I just installed two brand new, Canon

I have a Canon MP495.
I just installed two brand new, Canon Pixma in cartridges, number 510 and 511.
I am getting a persistent E14 error message.
What is the problem please and how do I fix it.

Hi. My nsme is Rick and I am a digital camera professional.

Try this first. When the error comes up press the stop/reset button on the printer and see if that helps.

I have tried that, holding the reset button for at least five seconds. It made no difference.

I'ts after 1am here and I have to get some sleep. I will take a look in the morning (in six hours or so) to see if you have any other suggestions for me to try.

No problem Mr. Rogers. Get a good night sleep and give this a try when you get up again.

Turn off the printer and then unplug it from the power source.
Now press and hold the power (on/off) button for 1 minute.
Now release the button and plug the printer back in.
Turn it on and see if the error clears.

I'm afraid I didn't get a chance to do it Thursday morning as I was racing for a train and I won't be back home again until Monday. I had to get the urgent print job done at a professional print shop. I will try unplugging the machine when I'm back in London.
