You need to download the correct drivers.

You said you did, but can I ask where you downloaded them from please?

Yes tried that but do not work, seems they only supply drivers that work with windows 98 not XP.

Can not install driver, need driver for xp for FV-10D

Yes install stops and says windows 9x neded

ok, then the driver is only for the very first version of Windows XP, not for later build John.

this is the latest driver they every released and they never developed a new one.

Unfortunately, they stopped developing new drivers, and this is critical in order for the device to work with windows.

your only option sorry is to return to a version previous to Windows XP as this the driver will work with.

No later versions are going to work with the unit sorry.
