Thanks Denis

I was not clear on your response though.

Is anything coming up on the screen at all?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

the view screen position just shows the status of the auto and the screen is just white

Expert:  Richard replied 3 years ago.
Thank you Denis.

Can you remove the battery from the camera and wait 10 minutes.

Put the battery back in, turn on the camera and tell me please if the screen is now functioning.

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

no difference

Expert:  Richard replied 3 years ago.
Thanks Denis

It is the LCD Controller for the screen that has faulted.

This is why it is only white.

A corrupted firmware can cause this. But we have ruled this out by hard resetting it. The fact that the problem continues, confirms this.

I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the camera to have it replaced. It is a known problem, and is covered by the warranty, and the replacement performed at no cost to you.

I am really sorry about this, and if you have problems, or would like any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know.

And if you can take a second to rate my service, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
