How do I get a stuck, slightly mangled piece of paper out of my Canon MG5350 printer please?

open the scanner cover

michelleclive :

remove the inkcartridges

Customer:

ok thanks for helping I've done that, what do I do now please?

are you able to see the stuck paper piece in there

Customer:

yes

michelleclive :

try to pull it out slowly

michelleclive :

please tell me on which area the paper is stuck

Customer:

the ink cartridge carriage is in the middle of the paper, on it. The paper is half in the roller behind where it comes out of and half bunched under the carriage.

did you remove the ink cartridges from the head carriage

Customer:

yes

michelleclive :

if not then remove all of them and then

michelleclive :

unplug the power cable from the printer and then slide the print head at the left hand side manually

michelleclive :

then try to access the jammed paper and try to pull it out to remove it.
