My Canon MP970 printer does not print despite showing a preview

My Canon MP970 printer does not print despite showing a preview of the page. Any ideas please?

now on your computer click start..devices and printers

right click on printer icon and remove

it could show up as remove\delete or uninstall option

Thanks silly me I was opening properties not printer properties. Did a print, the page was headed windows printer test page and showed an icon of a printer in top corner--just that no further print

click on head clean or deep clean ooption
