I set up the printer from the iMac
Thank you. Please try the followings:
Please let me know. Thank you.
Hi, sorry this is taking me longer than anticipated - the mouse on the MacMini has chosen this moment to stop working. Fortunately I have a spare magic mouse and will install that and get back to you soonest. KA
OK, I did all that. Deleted the printer, then reinstalled. Computer finds the printer instantly and then sends the data to the printer very quickly. But nothing gets printed out.
Still no luck. Did a restart as well. However, it may be a software issue. When the computer first looks for the printer it detects two versions: one is styled MG5650 bonjour, the other MG5650 canon inkjet. If I select the first version it then tells me software is not available on apple and I must contact the manufacturer, second version appears to work as a 'generic post script printer'. I tried looking for software from a drop down menu for the first 'bonjour' but did not see the MG5650 model listed among hundreds of others.
What to do?
Sorry, yes, it looks like you did not install the printer driver/software on the MacMini. Please remove the Canon printer on the MacMini again, if it's there. Then download / install the CUPS printer driver at the website below, then check (add the printer again as needed):
