Thanks
It is the internal memory that has faulted causing the firmware to crash
A corrupted firmware can cause this. But we have ruled this out by trying to hard restart it.
I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the camera to have it replaced. It will be covered by the warranty if this has not expired, and the replacement will be done at no cost to you.
I am really sorry about this, and if you have problems, or would like any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know.
And if you can take a second to rate my service, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Thanks for that. I can't understand how 2 cameras can have the same fault, one of which is brand new!

What is corrupted firmware.? I think there may be a firm selling faulty cameras. have you comw across this before?

Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.
ok, Firmware is the operating system, so like windows but for the camera (its own customer on).
2 cameras is suspicious and usually this is a sign they are selling refurbished cameras which tend to break down quick quickly.
But I see this problem a lot with Cameras here Alan, its not an uncommon fault.
Feel free to ask if you would like any further information please
