Hello, my name is Rusty. No, that camera requires a card to store pictures. It isn't designed to shoot without a memory card.

Why then are there over 1000 photos still on my camera when the card is out, I have also tried to take a few more and thos pictures are still on the camera?

Hmm, I've searched the specs and it isn't giving me that information. If they are on the camera, they will be in the DCIM folder. Which operating system are you running on your computer?
