My Canon Powershot G6 has a CF Card firmly stuck

Customer Question

Hello,
My Canon Powershot G6 has a CF Card firmly stuck and I am unable to remove it.
It is actually an SD to CF Converter card.
Are you able to help with this problem?
Best regards,
Pauline

When I press the eject button it seems to release on the same side as the eject button but the other side firmly trapped.

Hi, thank you for contacting JustAnswer.com. My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question. Is the CF adapter like this one?: this card/adapter If so, you may just have to sacrifice it (by possibly damaging it) to remove it rather than to damage the camera (though if the camera is refusing to eject a card, then it has a problem already, it is by far more expensive, both to repair and to replace.) If any part of the CF adapter may be grasped with the tip of a needlenose pliers, then grasp it (and no part of the camera with the pliers, just the CF card, this cannot be emphasized too much) and pull it outward slowly but firmly.
